چکیده

Polymeric flat-sheet membranes and hollow fibers were prepared via UV photo-initiated polymerization of acrylic acid at the surface commercial polyether sulfones (PES) membranes. These polymeric materials permitted to immobilize efficiently palladium nanoparticles (PdNP), which exhibited a mean diameter in range 4?6 nm. synthesized by chemical reduction Pd(II) precursors presence corresponding support. We successfully applied as-prepared catalytic hydrogenation reactions under continuous flow conditions. Flat sheet more active than due configuration defavorable operating Actually, various functional groups (i.e. CC, CC NO2) reduced flow-through configuration, mild conditions (between 1.4 2.2 bar H2 60 °C, using 3.2 mol% Pd loading), archiving high conversions short reaction times (12?24 s).

Metal Nanoparticles/Ionic Liquid/Cellulose: Polymeric Membrane for Hydrogenation Reactions

Rhodium and platinum nanoparticles were supported in polymeric membranes with 10, 20 and 40 μm thickness. The polymeric membranes were prepared combining cellulose acetate and the ionic liquid (IL) 1-n-butyl3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethane sulfonyl)imide (BMI.(NTf) 2 . The presence of metal nanoparticles induced an increase in the polymeric membrane surface areas. The increase of the IL...

Amphiphilic ionic liquid stabilizing palladium nanoparticles for highly efficient catalytic hydrogenation.

The highly water-soluble palladium nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized by using the amphiphilic poly(ethylene glycol)-functionalized dicationic imidazolium-based ionic liquid (C(12)Im-PEG IL) as a stabilizing agent. The aqueous dispersed palladium NPs in the range of 1.9 ± 0.3 nm were observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The physicochemical properties of C(12)Im-PEG IL in aqueou...

Poly(vinyl)chloride supported palladium nanoparticles: catalyst for rapid hydrogenation reactions.

Palladium nanoparticles supported over poly(vinyl)chloride matrix (PVC-Pd(0)) are prepared through an efficient and inexpensive protocol. The catalyst has been characterized by XRD, SEM and TEM and its utility for the reduction of a range of functional groups as well as for the removal of some common protecting groups employed in peptide chemistry is demonstrated.

High catalytic performance of palladium nanoparticles supported on multiwalled carbon nanotubes on alkene hydrogenation

The synthesis of Pd nanoparticles (Pd-NPs) supported on multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and the cataytic performance of the resulting material (PdNPs/MWCNTs) on hydrogenation reactions are presented. Facile preparation approaches based on the decomposition of Pd precursors in the presence of MWCNTs lead to homogeneous dispersions of supported Pd-NPs with average size of 4 nm and Pd loads ...

Polymer-stabilized palladium nanoparticles for catalytic membranes: ad hoc polymer fabrication

Metal nanoparticles are known as highly effective catalysts although their immobilization on solid supports is frequently required to prevent aggregation and to facilitate the catalyst application, recovery, and reuse. This paper reports the intermatrix synthesis of Pd0 nanoparticles in sulfonated polyethersulfone with Cardo group membranes and their use as nanocomposite catalytic membrane reac...
